I have installed the software but the UPS is ignored.
You may have selected the Windows XPT UPS function. This prevents our software from operating.
Please deselect the Windows XPT UPS function in the control panel/power supply option/UPS.
If it still does not work, you can download another software called Winpower from the following site www.ups-software-download.com.

I have downloaded the communication software from the Infosec site. However, a serial number is requested during the installation set up. I tried my UPS's serial number but it does not work (too short). So how do you install this software?
The installation key for the software is not your UPS serial number. Use the following number:

Check the fuse at the back of the UPS and if it is defective replace with the spare one.

How do you recharge the batteries?
To recharge the UPS batteries, you have to turn the appliance on (green indicator light on).

Why is my UPS operating in AVR mode?
If the voltage is different from 230 V+/-10%, the UPS regulates (AVR) to compensate for the difference. It does not cause any problem for the equipment connected to the UPS.

How do you replace the battery on my UPS?
- Unplug the appliance from the mains.
- Loosen the screw on the under side.
- Remove the cover.
- Disconnect the defective battery and fit the new one.
- Caution: Adhere to the polarity red + black -.
- Put the cover back on.

How long does a battery last?
It depends on the type and conditions of use of the UPS, but also on its maintenance. The battery's useful life can vary from 3 to 5 years.

I have a standard commercially available PC: what UPS should I buy?
Here are a few "standard" configurations:
- If you are using a 17" CRT screen with a 300W power supply or even a 17" TFT screen with a 350W power supply, we recommend a 500 XP Office , or iPEL evolution 500 (500 VA). UPS
- If your computer has a 17'' CRT screen and a 400W power supply or even a 21'' TFT and a 350W power supply, we suggest the 800 XP Office (800 VA)
- Or finally, if you have a 19'' CRT screen with a 400W power supply or even a 21'' TFT screen with a 450W power supply, you can choose from the following three 1,000 VA models: 1000 XP Office, 1000 XP Pro, iPEl evolution 1000
